In Memoriam, September 11, 2001.

September 11, 2001.

We mourn for the pilots and crews of the hi-jacked flights, the workers and visitors, the police and firefighters lost in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and all the people suffering trauma due to this heinous act of terrorism.

Our thoughts and our prayers go out to you and your families.  We also pray for the world community to bring a swift and final end to the purveyors of acts of terrorism wherever they seek refuge.

  • NY Rescue Workers Detoxification Project : A partnership between physicians, researchers, private foundations, unions and citizens who support the 911 firefighters has brought the program to a clinic in lower Manhattan. They have made it a priority to work with health officials and provide detoxification to rescue workers who are not responding to other forms of treatment. The results have been remarkable.

  • American Red Cross : Support trained disaster workers to provide relief to victims in New York City and Washington D.C.

  • The United Way : A network of 1,400 organizations, donor corporations and philanthropic partners working to give relief to the affected communities.

  • AmeriCares : A nonprofit disaster-relief organization providing immediate response to emergency medical needs.

  • The National Organization for Victim Assistance : A private, nonprofit organization committed to the recognition and implementation of victim rights and services.

  • Catholic Charities USA : The nation's largest private network of people helping people with 1,400 local agencies and institutions nationwide.
